Chinese ‘spies’ worry PBBM
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. admitted that he is very disturbed with the arrest of five Chinese spies in Palawan.
“That’s why we arrested them because of course we are very disturbed by anyone conducting such espionage operations against our military and our – and just the services that we are trying to provide the people,” Marcos said.
The Chinese spies were identified as Cai Shaohuang, 52; Wang Yong Yi, 52; Wu Jun Ren, 62; Wu Chengting, 38; and Chen Haitao, 36.
The five Chinese were arrested because of using high-resolution solar-powered camares pointed at the government vital installations and at the waters of Palawan where Coast Guard vessels pass en route to the West Philippine Sea.
Marcos said that the Philippines has no contact with China regarding the Chinese spies.
“We – no, we have no contact with the – no official contact with China,” Marcos said.
“We are still – the investigative services are still developing more information to see exactly what these five have been – what operations they have been doing while they have been here in the Philippines,” the President added.
Marcos said the investigation is still ongoing.
“Dahil ‘yung iba matagal nang nandito nakapangasawa na ng mga Pilipina. At sleeper talaga, sleeper, tinatawag na sleepers,” Marcos said.
