THE Philippine chess team, led by Asia’s first GM Eugene Torre, will be the special guest in the 35th “Sports on Air” this Thursday, Aug. 25 via Zoom.

Torre, at 70 still the country’s most recognizable player for almost six decades now, will talk about the Filipinos’ successful campaign in the 44th World Chess Olympiad held in Chennai, India.

Torre and the players will also talk about their coming tournaments under the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP).
