Chavit offers ₱5M reward to Carlos Yulo and family, highlighting family unity
BUSINESS magnate and former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson has offered a ₱5M reward to two-time Olympic gold medalist gymnast Carlos Yulo and his family. The reward shall be accepted by the Yulo family and Carlos’ partner, Chloe San Jose, as a united front.
Manong Chavit, known for his deep respect for family values, made it clear that the reward is not merely for Yulo’s gold medals but as a tribute to the strength and unity of the Yulo family.
“The reward is a recognition for Yulo’s exemplary performance in the Paris Olympics and more so to the unity of the Yulo family and Yulo’s partner,” he emphasized.
For Singson, family is the foundation of a person’s success and the embodiment of values that transcend generations.
Singson adds “In offering this reward, I hope to send a powerful message that the success of an individual is never solely their own; it is shared by those who stand by them, offering love, guidance, and unwavering support.”
He hopes this gesture will inspire other families to cherish their unity and support each other in both triumph and challenge.
Meanwhile, some sectors are egging him to consider joining a senatorial slate come 2025 national elections. But Manong Chavit, who’s a known philanthropist albeit his colorful and controversial front, isn’t taking this seriously at the moment.
Singson is this year’s Isah V. Red awardee at The Eddys by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors for his philanthropic deeds, especially for people in the entertainment industry.
