Singing superstar Celine Dion recently gave the public a rare peak of the life with her three sons to honor her late husband, René Charles Angelil, on his ninth death anniversary.

“Life imposes things on you,” Celine said. “You have no choice but to deal with that.”

The singer shared the sweet snaps around Christmas with her three children – 23-year-old René Charles and 14-year-old twins Nelson and Eddie. They looked cozy and comfy in coordinating their Christmas looks.

She wrote in the caption, ‘René, we can’t believe you were gone nine years already. Not a day goes by when we don’t feel your presence – RC, Eddie, Nelson and I.

She calls her late husband, René, her greatest champion, “my partner and the one who always showed the best in me. I honor you and your work forever, mon amour. We love you.”

We all go through this our own way together,” said Celine. “At the same time, for each other.”

Celine has been raising the boys since 2016, when René passed on after his battle with throat cancer.

“I wanted to be by his bedside, but he insisted that I should go back onstage. He wanted me to perform again. I wanted to stay with him by his bedside.”

Since René’s death, Celine’s three sons are constantly by her side, supporting her every step of the way even as she lives with stiff person syndrome, a rare auto-immune disorder.

“I was losing my balance,” she disclosed. “It was hard to walk.”

She unveiled her struggles first-hand in her prime video documentary, “I Am Celine Dion.”

Last year, Celine told people she first had to put a brave face for her boys but later admitted, “My kids started to notice. They already lost a parent. I don’t want them to be scared.

“The world that they have and the importance that you have in your children’s lives, that’s crucial,” Celine said.

She had to reassure her sons, “You lost your dad, but mom has a condition. I’m not going to die. It’s something that I’m going to learn to live with. We have to live one day at a time.”

MTRCB unveiled data privacy management program

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) unveiled its Data Privacy Management Program and held its first data privacy training session.

The program aimed to identify and protect all personal data collected, processed and stored by the agency in line with the Data Privacy Act.

MTRCB chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio highlighted the need for the agency to develop and implement robust privacy policies and ensure that the MTRCB can effectively manage personal data security incidents and breaches.

“As an agency tasked with safeguarding Filipino families, especially the children, through responsible viewing, we must also ensure the security and integrity of the data we handle in our operations, including sensitive information,” Sotto-Antonio said in her opening remarks.

She emphasized the importance of data privacy in today’s digital age, stating that protecting data is not just a responsibility but a commitment.

“Through this program, we aim to identify all personal data collected, processed and stored by the MTRCB, ensuring full compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012,” added Sotto-Antonio.

“This initiative allows us to develop and implement robust policies and procedures to address the challenges of privacy regulation and enable us in public service to manage personal data security effectively.”

Sotto-Antonio also highlighted the agency’s efforts to empower its workforce. The training session provided MTRCB employees with practical knowledge and tools to ensure compliance with privacy regulations, emphasizing the role of each team member in protecting sensitive data.

“As the MTRCB continues its mandate of protecting Filipino audiences through responsible viewing, it extends the same commitment to data privacy, reflecting its unwavering dedication to excellence in public service.

“May this program serve as a testament to MTRCB’s unwavering commitment to protecting not only our audiences but also the stakeholders we work with every day. Together, let us set an example of integrity and excellence in public service,” Sotto-Antonio concluded.
