IT’S all systems go for the staging of the CEFAG Elementary Dalawahan Team Online Chess Challenge scheduled on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m.on Lichess Platform.

The event is open to all elementary student-chess players representing their schools or teams.

Each team is composed of two players, who will play in separate link: Board 1 link or Board 2 link.

The score in Board 1 plus the score in Board 2 is equal the team score.

In case of a tie, a special lichess match link of Board 1 will be played in standard 5+2.

The tournament will be played in six rounds Swiss System each for Board 1 and 2. Time control is seven minutes plus five seconds increment.

Registration fee is P200 only per team. Zoom one camera is required.

At stake in the tournament are cash prizes with the champion getting P650, the runner-up P450 and third placer P350.

Top category winners will aos receive P150 (elementary boy champion) and P100 ) elementary runner-up) and P150 (elementary girl) and P100 (elementary girl).

All participants will receive virtual certificates of recognition and participation.

The tournament is organized by CEFAG (Chess Education For Age-Group) and supported by the Philippine Chess League (PCL), Inter-Agency Chess Group ( IACG), TCC Chesscology and PPKGCC

Team officials will be headed by NA Boyet Tardecilla.
