SPEAKER Alan Peter Cayetano is positive that the P10K Ayuda Bill will have a “snowball of support” after the measure being pushed by his group Back To Service (BTS) at the House of Representatives was hailed by Paranaque City 2nd District Rep. Eric Olivares as a good proposal.

In an interview over DZRJ, Olivares expressed “full support” for Cayetano’s P10K Ayuda Bill as it is needed by Filipinos.

“Kung kaya ng budget bakit hindi [ibigay] para sa mga nangangailangan? Kung kaya ng appropriation na i-budget po ‘yon para sa nangangailangan, full support tayo doon,’’ said Olivares.

Cayetano thanked Olivares and other congressmen who supported the P10K Ayuda Bill.

“May consensus naman talaga ang buong Pilipinas na kailangan ng mga Pilipino ang P10K ayuda at ito’y mabuti sa ekonomiya at ito ay mabuti sa pamilya,’’ stressed Cayetano.

Cayetano appeaked to other congressmen to speed up the action and support for the P10K Ayuda Bill in order to help the needy specially those who lost their means of livelihood due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Cayetano cited need for the P10K Ayuda Bill so that the stimulus package will be given immediately to other sectors of society.

‘’Kaya pakiusap ko sa lahat ng kongresista na gawin nating mabilis at i- explain natin sa Malakanyang na may pera naman at agad-agad na ‘yung P10K ay maibigay at agad-agad na isunod naman ang iba pang stimulus kagaya ng health, agriculture, tourism, education, at kabuhayan,” said Cayetano.

The P10K Ayuda Bill was proposed by Cayetano and his allies in February 2021.

Instead of being deliberated on separately, it was included in Bayanihan 3 which resulted in the planned P1K ayuda for every Filipino.

This was opposed by Cayetano saying the people don’t need alms.

’’Extraordinary times need extraordinary measures. Hindi po limos ang kailangan ng mga Pilipino sa ngayon,’’ said the former Speaker.

Earlier, Cayetano asked the people to ask their respective congressmen to support the P10K Ayuda Bill.

‘’Alam ko naman ang damdamin ng mga kongresista at payag rin sila,” Cayetano said.

Last May 1 or Labor Day, Cayetano and his group launched Sampung Libong Pag-asa wherein 200 beneficiaries received P10K ayuda.

This is to convince the House of Representatives to act on the bull to help Filipino families to start their own livelihood and rise from COVID-19.
