Caviteño local execs take oath

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The newly elected mayors of Imus City, Maragondon, and Mendez-Nuñez formally took their respective oath of office Thursday, before noon in front of their administering officers, June 30, 2022.

Most newly-elected Cavite local executives have formally taken their oath of office.

Imus Mayor-elect Alex “AA” Advincula leads the oath of office along with his son Congressman-elect Adrian Jay “AJ” Advincula of the lone district of Imus, Vice Mayor-elect Homer “Saki” Saquilayan, Cavite 3rd District Board members-elect Shernan Jaro and Arnel “Ony” Cantimbuhan and 12 councilors held at the session hall of the New Imus City Hall in Barangay Malagasang 1-G.

“Kailangan ko po ng inyong cooperation, kapwa ko Imuseños. Tayo po ay may utang na P2.5B ang Imus, mahirap, ngunit naniniwala ako na malalampasan natin ito lahat dahil kasama ko ang magagaling na bagong liders ng Imus,” Mayor-elect AA said in his speech.

“Alam ko na malalampasan natin ito dahil nasa likod ko ang butihing Governor Jonvic Remulla,” Advincula added.

Advincula signed his first Executive Order as local chief executive, “the strengthening the government status and policies on transparency and accountability of public officials in the city of Imus.”

“Magiging trabaho po natin sa ngayon ay mag-ikot sa mga palengke, eskuwelahan at sa mga ongoing projects sa umaga, then office works sa tanghali and meetings sa hapon.” Ganyan po tatakbo ang araw ko bilang alcalde,” said AA Advincula.

Tanza reelected Mayor Yuri Pacumio, Vice Mayor-elect Simon Matro, and town councilors Derek Matro, Icel Morales, Sandy Peralta, Alexis Dones, Vic Murillo, Addre Torres, Sheryl Langit, and Lito Langit were swore in at the historic Santa Cruz Church in Poblacion.

Maragondon Mayor-elect Lawrence “Umbe” Arca was sworn in before Judge Maria Espineli along with Vice Mayor-elect Bernie Ilagan and councilors Reagan Gulapa, Emil Digal, Alex Villanueva, Bonn Rillo, Esel Diño, Lita De Joya, Alan Angeles, and Joel Perio at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church.

In upland Mendez-Nuñez, Mayor-elect Francisco “Cocoy” Mendoza Jr. took his oath of office before Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino together with Vice Mayor-elect Ronnie Rocillo and councilors Raygan Dimapilis, Jose Auditor, Roilan Ortiz, Razel Esguerra, Paulino Dimaranan, alexander Ocampo, Molly Martinez, and Ruby Lita Remigio.

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, Vice Governor-elect Athena, and Cavite 8th District Congresswoman-elect Aniela Tolentino were sworn in at Santa Cruz Church in Tanza, Cavite, on June 27, 2022.

Cong. Ramon “Jolo” Revilla III of 1st District, Cavite, Noveleta Mayor Dino Chua, and Cavite City Mayor-elect Denver Chua at San Sebastian College Gym in Cavite City on June 25, Rosario Mayor Voltaire Ricafrente and party on June 1, Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Revilla on June 28 at St. Michael Church.

Dasmariñas City Mayor Pidi Barzaga and Mayor Jenny Barzaga on June 20 at newly opened Dasmariñas City Arena; Cong. Roy Loyola and wife Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola on June 29; Mayor Maricel Torres of GMA (General Mariano Alvarez) Cavite on June 28; Silang Mayor Kevin Anarna and Vice Mayor Ted Carranza on June 25; and Amadeo Mayor Redel Dionisio on June 19.
