IMUS CITY, Cavite – More than P150 million worth of fake clothes, shoes, and various types of equipment were seized by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the police in a large warehouse in this province on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Customs and police branches armed with the “letter of authority” signed by Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, together with the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Manila International Container Port (CIIS-MICP), and ESS-QRT went to the warehouse at Barangay Alapan II-A Imus Cavite and conducted the inspection.

Officials were surprised by the thousands of equipment, clothes, shoes, and general merchandise that were counterfeit designer designs and did not have the corresponding permits.

Customs agents inspected the boxed products and found different types of ready-to-wear (RTW) garments with the brands Dickies, Mossimo, Bench, Levi’s, Puma, Fila, Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, and various home appliances.

According to BOC, the fake products were supposed to be released on the market this Christmas.
