Cavite reaches herd immunity

CAVITE province is the first in Calabarzon region to reach herd immunity based on the vaccination report released yesterday by the Health Promotion and Education Unit of the Department of Health – Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).

Based on the statistics, around 2,405,946 Cavite residents were already fully-vaccinated as of this date, with target population of 3,454,722 from 12-years-old and above.

Cavite reached the 70 percent target population to declare that they reached the herd immunity of the seven cities and 16 towns.

Laguna is now near reaching herd immunity, with 68 percent fully- vaccinated (1,844,091 individuals) of their target population of 2,704,590.

Batangas has 66 percent fully-vaccinated or 1,639,985 of their 2,471,800 target population to reach the herd immunity.

Rizal province has 60 percent fully-vaccinated people (1,555,560 individuals) of 2,574,156 target population.

Quezon province has only 45 percent fully-vaccinated individuals or 684,589 of their 1,513,021 target population.

The vaccination program of each province for the 1st and 2nd dose and booster shot continue for the protection of every citizen or A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, ROPP priority groups.

Alert Level 3 is extended until January 31 for Calabarzon provinces.
