Cavite logs slight hike in COVID cases

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – According to the latest data released by the Provincial Health Office, Cavite province recorded 131 cases of COVID-19 on June 22, 2022.

The province was slightly alarmed by the sudden swell of Covid cases, with only 67 cases recorded as of the June 16, 2022 report, which suddenly doubled from the last report that the province had 131 active cases.

Based on the latest report, Cavite has 171,557 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 167,842 recoveries, and 3,584 deaths.

Four cities and one town have been recorded in the “top 5” with Covid cases. Bacoor has 35 active cases, Imus has 23 active cases, Dasmariñas City has 19, General Trias has ten, and Tanza town has seven cases.

While three towns and two cities remained zero COVID-19 cases. These are Magallanes, Mendez Nuñez, Rosario, Tagaytay City, and Trece Martires City.

The vaccination program of each municipality and city will continue even though it has been relocated to a smaller area and brought closer to each household through the house-to-house vaccination and “Resbakuna sa Barangay” program.
