Cavite has 45 Delta variant cases
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — Cavite has recorded 45 Delta variant cases, based on the report Monday of the Cavite Provincial Health Office (PHO)- Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) at the General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital in Barangay Luciano here.
Of the total number, Bacoor City has 15, Imus 10, Silang 5, Dasmariñas and Cavite City have three cases each, General Trias, Carmona and Alfonso have two cases each, and Indang Tanza and Trece Martires City have one case each.
As of August 16, 2021, 17 have recovered while one has died.
Cavite has a total of 74,391 confirmed COVID cases as of August 23, 2021, according to the Philippine Informationa Agency (PIA- Calabarzon. There have been 60,338 recoveries and 1,868 deaths.
The Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital (STRH) in Barangay Habay 1 in Bacoor City now has full bed capacity. Corridora are being converted into treatment facilities and emergency room (ER) tents have to be put up to accommodate the influx of patients.
