Cavite drug bust nets P136M shabu

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – AGENTS of the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Bacoor City in Cavite on Monday evening, which led to the arrest of three top targets and the seizure of 20 kilograms of shabu valued at P136 million, PNP Chief General Dionardo B. Carlos said yesterday.

More or less 20 kilos of shabu with a street value of P136 million were seized by Joint elements of PNP-DEG (Lead Unit) led by PLt. Ryan Jay Esquivel, Special Operation Unit (SOU) NCR, SOU 4A, Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), Bacoor City Police Office, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO), Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG) PRO 4A, CIDG PRO4A, PDEA NCR, and PDEA (Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency) 4A led by Agent Theonette Solar (Provincial Officer-Cavite)

Operatives identified the arrested drug suspects as Isaac Gabriel Ambulo, 29, single, jobless; Roman Hosias Ambulo, 25, single, tricycle driver, both residents of Quiapo, Manila; and Abdurrahim Ambulo, 41, married, jobless, of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Two suspects, Saddam Hadji Gaffor and Nabil Madarang, are still at large during the operation.

Aside from the drugs, other evidence seized from the suspects were two pieces of marked P1,000 on top of boodle money used as buy-bust money, a Honda Civic, assorted identification cards (IDs), documents, and two basic cellular phones.

The suspects and pieces of evidence are brought to SOU NCR at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City, for documentation and proper disposition.

According to the authorities, the suspects are one of the sources of shabu – of targets listed under “Coplan Rangar” who are openly distributing volumes of illegal drugs in NCR (National Capital Region), Cavite, and nearby cities/municipalities. With Alfred Dalizon
