Cavite cops nab 4 HVTs, P2M illegal drugs seized
IMUS CITY, Cavite – Police operatives here seized more or less P2 million pesos worth of suspected illegal drugs and arrested four high-value targets (HVTs) in a buy-bust operation conducted at Barangay Maderan, General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Cavite.
Police Colonel Arnold E. Abad, Provincial Director of Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) presented to local media Friday, April 1, 2022 at Camp General Pantaleon Garcia, (Cuartel) in Bgy. Poblacion the drug items and the drug suspects.
Action Officer Police Lt. Col. Marlo Solero identified the four HVTs as Dianne Fidesdi, 34; Myka Obia, 26; Julius Ceasar Obias Nuñez, 28, and Rechelle Habab, 28, who were all arrested at around 6:13 p.m. on March 29, 2022.
Confiscated pieces of evidence from the suspects were one bundle of fake money with one genuine P500, 5 plastic sachets of shabu further with an estimated total weight of 300 grams valued at P2,070,000.
Further, the operating team used an alternative recording device (ARD) during the buy-bust operation.
The suspects were brought to Cavite PPO for documentation and proper disposition together with the recovered pieces of evidence then turned over to Dasmariñas City Police Station Detention Cell for custody while the case for Violation of Section 5 (26) and Section 11 Article II, Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being processed before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Abad, expressed his great appreciation for this significant accomplishment and commended the operating team for a job well done.
Likewise, he urged the community to support the PNP (Philippine National Police) by giving information on the whereabouts of drug syndicates and other street-level individuals involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs.
