Cavite City holds anti-drug confab

CAVITE CITY — The Cavite Anti Drug Abuse Council held a seminar attended by the members of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office of the United States Embassy and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on August 19, 2020.

Cavite city Mayor Denver Chua presided over the reception of the guests of honor from the US Embassy, PDEA along with Local Social Welfare and Development head and City Drug Abuse Council head Rowena Andrade.

The forum was entitled: “Strengthening Partnerships in creating safer and healthier communities” A significant milestone for the Community Anti- Drug Abuse Coalition of Cavite City (CADACC).

The seminar was attended by Director Kelia Cummins and Jonalyn Santos, program management specialist of the Office of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the US

Embassy, Manila, and Dr. Raquel Tolentino, President of the Association of Anti-Drug Abuse Coalitions of the Philippines (AADAC Philippines Inc.), IAV Billy Viray, Assistant Regional Director,

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region IV-A and Police Lt. Col Christopher Guste, local police chief of Cavite City.

The new set of officers of CADACC took their oath before Chua at the end part of the program.
