Catriona Gray, SB19 support National Arts Month 2022 celebration

MISS Universe 2018 and Arts Ambassador Catriona Gray, and P-Pop boy group and newest Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), SB19, join the celebration of National Arts Month 2022 this February.

To show Gray’s support in the annual celebration, she released The Grand Reveal, a short fashion film shot at the historic Metropolitan Theater. “So excited to create a vision with an amazing group of creatives within the iconic Metropolitan Theatre,” on her second (going on third year) as NCCA Arts Ambassador, Gray expressed that the thought of presenting an aspect of Philippine culture and arts in a creative and modern way always excites her.

On the other hand, NCCA’s newest Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador, SB19, shared a message of support and an astonishing performance during the National Arts Month 2022 Virtual Press Conference.

This year’s theme, SINING NG PAG-ASA, aims to recognize arts as a source and expression of hope as shown in the creative ways we respond to the effects of the pandemic, natural calamities, and other social realities, as well as the arts’ role in improving our community life as Filipinos, the NCCA leads the celebration of National Arts Month (NAM) this February.

The celebration is mainly composed of the flagship projects of Subsommission on the Arts’ (SCA), led by its commissioner and head of the National Committee on Cinema, Dr. Rolando Tolentino and the seven national committees—Architecture and Allied Arts headed by LAr. Zenaida DC. Galingan, Dance headed by Dr. Shirley Halili-Cruz, Literary Arts headed by Dr. Julieta C. Mallari, Music headed by Dr. Felipe M. De Leon Jr., Dramatic Arts headed by Mr. Felimon B. Blanco, and Visual Arts headed by Geraldine B. Araneta, which will be convened online.
