Carlos appoints 4 more officials to key positions

PHILIPPINE National Police chief General Dionardo B. Carlos designated four more officials to key PNP posts in line with his ongoing effort to put the right man in the right job.

The four are new PNP Forensic Group director, Brigadier Gen. Belli B. Tamayo, new PNP Maritime Group director, Brig. Gen. Harold B. Tuzon; new PNP Headquarters Support director, Colonel Clifford B. Gairanod; and new PNP Engineering Service director, Colonel Ricardo G. Layug Jr.

Tamayo, a member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992 replaced newly-retired Brig. Gen. Pascual G. Muñoz Jr. of PMA ‘Bigkis Lahi’ Class of 1990.

On the other hand, Tuzon, who became the PNP-HSS director otherwise known as Camp Crame commander replaced Brig. Gen. John Mitchell B. Jamili who also retired from the force.

Gairanod, the erstwhile PNP-HSS Deputy Director for Administration was named by Gen. Carlos to be the new Camp Crame commander with the main task of fully ensuring that all camp rules and regulations will be followed to the hilt.

Gen. Carlos said he wants the continuity of discipline in the PNP national headquarters.

Layug replaced Brig. Gen. Abelardo C. Matillano who was cited by Gen. Carlos for his steadfast commitment and dedication to public service during his stint as PNP-ES director.

Both Tuzon and Colonels Gairanod and Layug who will get their star-rank with their new positions are graduates of the PNP Academy.
