CAR hurt in motorcycle crash

A 52-YEAR old official of the Cordillera Police Regional Office was badly injured in a motorcycle mishap on a highway in Sta. Maria, Isabela around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, the Journal Group learned.

Lt. Col. Allen Agwaking, assigned with the Apayao Police Provincial Office, suffered injuries in different parts of his body during the motorcycle crash along the Santiago-Tuguegarao Road in Bgy. Naganacan, Sta. Maria, said Cordillera police director, Brigadier General Ronald O. Lee.

Initial investigation showed the official, a resident of Baguio City was driving his XRM 125cc motorcycle (020108)on his way to Tuguegarao City when he lost control of the motorbike and tumbled down the road.

Members of the Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station and the local Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office rescued the victim and brought him to the Elvin Masigan Integrated Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The victim is in stable condition and is set to be transferred to another hospital for further medical attention, said Lee.

The official’s personal belongings and motorcycle are now under the custody of the Sta. Maria police.
