CAR cops negative for drugs
CORDILLERA Police Regional Office director, Brigadier General Ronald O. Lee on Sunday said that all 241 local policemen who were subjected to a random drug testing this week have tested negative for substance abuse.
“This is good news since all 241 members of the Cordillera police who submitted their urine specimen during a random drug testing last Tuesday were all found to be negative for shabu and,” said the official in a report to Philippine National Police Officer-in-Charge, Lieutenant General Vicente D. Danao Jr.
Brig. Gen. Lee said that members of the Regional Forensic Unit-Cordillera conducted the drug test in line with their ongoing internal cleansing program aimed at ferreting out police personnel who are into substance abuse.
The RFU-Cordillera headed by Colonel Nerino Daciego has been regularly conducting unannounced random drug testing in the region due to the PNP’s internal cleansing drive in the region.
