THE City Government of Caloocan started to accommodate non-residents aged 18 and above who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
This was announced on Sunday by Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan in concurrence with the purpose of national government to increase the threshold of vaccination coverage in order to achieve herd immunity.
“Bukas po ang aming mga vaccination site sa lahat ng mamamayan na nais magkaroon ng proteksyon. Sama-sama, tulung-tulong tayo upang mas mapabilis pa ang ating pagsugpo sa COVID-19,” Mayor Oca said.
Non-residents who wanted to get vaccinated can now proceed to any open vaccination sites in the city but were advised to bring their identification card.
Latest data released by the Caloocan Health Department showed that as of October 21, 2021 the city government had administered COVID-19 vaccines to 1,632,337 residents of the city, 901,381 have their first jab while 731,066 are now fully vaccinated.
