Caloocan issues guidelines for New Year revelry
THE City Government of Caloocan released its “Iwas Paputok” Guidelines to encourage residents to use safer and more sustainable methods of celebrating the New Year’s Eve and refrain from using illegal firecrackers, especially in crowded residential areas.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan reminded everyone that illegal firecrackers are not allowed in the city, in line with City Executive Order No. 032-22, due to the danger they pose to the general public. He likewise emphasized that everyone’s priority should have a safe send-off to 2024, rather than have multiple accidents due to negligent use of such firecrackers.
The public is also reminded to contact the city’s Alert and Monitoring Hotline at 02-888-ALONG (25664) / 09167976365 / 09477964372 in case of any accident or emergency.
