Calapan farmers get DA cash cards
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – At least 1,589 Calapan farmers have already received their Rice Farmer Financial Assistance (RFFA) from the Department of Agriculture (DA) on February 9 held at the Lumangbayan Covered Court.
It was led by the DA-Regional Field Office MIMAROPA, led by Artemio Casareno, Agricultural Program Coordination Officer (APCO) with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Calapan City Mayor Malou Flores-Morillo, and Lorelein Sevilla of the City Agriculture Services Department, and the Sangguniang Barangay of Lumangbayan, led by Kapitana Rowena Mallari.
Farmers immediately received their P5,000 cash card after submitting the required documents for validation.
Morillo also had the opportunity to share the programs prepared by the Calapan local government for the agriculture sector and disaster response for affected farmers.
