CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – Further intensifying and strengthening the relationship between the police, the community, and faith-based groups for a more orderly and peaceful community – this was the goal of the “Revitalized PNP Community Forum” held on February 2, 2023, at the Hinirang Hall, RHQ Building Camp BGen Efigenio C. Navarro, in Barangay Suqui, this city.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said the great importance of the unity and cooperation of the various branches of the government and the sectors in society to successfully implement “the rule of laws and programs that bring good.”

And it was the “peace of the majority” that pushed him to lead the said forum personally.

Calapan City Mayor Malou Flores-Morillo said: “This is just the beginning of my attendance, and signing the ‘Pledge of Commitment’ means that I and the entire city government will remain with you in achieving your goal of uniting the police, church, and community towards a more progressive and peaceful community.”

The multi-sectoral program is believed to bridge the police, public, and community toward a more peaceful, safe, and protected society.

“Everyone has an important role to play in realizing the goal of a peaceful society in general,” Azurin said.

The forum was attended by the town chiefs of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Regional Advisory Council members, faith-based group leaders, several other concerned individuals, and the PRO MIMAROPA Command Group under the leadership of P/Brigadier Gen. Sidney S. Hernia.
