CALABARZON’s most wanted rapist nabbed
THE Calamba City Police and Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) have arrested the number 2 most wanted person in CALABARZON for 4 counts of statutory rape on Wednesday in Calamba City, Laguna.
PCol. Rogarth Campo said the arrested suspect was identified as Jose Castillo, 42, jobless, and resident at Barangay Makiling, Calamba City, Laguna.
Calamba City Police Chief PLT. Col. Arnel Pagulayan and the Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) Laguna conducted the operation at around 5:30 p.m. where the suspect was arrested in his house.
The operation was conducted by a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Ave A Zurbito-Alba of Family Court Branch 8, Calamba City, Laguna for the offense of 4 counts of statutory rape committed against the offended party who is under twelve years of age or is demented.
“I sternly warn people not to take advantage of the women and their children as much as I remind them that we will religiously implement the laws that protect the vulnerable members of our society,” said Campo.
