THE Department of Health – CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) yesterday finalized preparations for the three-day national vaccination day to be held on from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.

Dr. Ariel Valencia, DOH regional director, assured that the region has sufficient supply of vaccine to meet its 3 million target for the three-day national vaccination drive.

Valencia said the regional office, together with the local health officers are already organized and well equipped to address concerns regarding the coming vaccination days, adding that health workers from various hospitals in the National Capital Region, including volunteers from private organizations have joined to extend service during the event.

The DOH official also said that the regional office has been delivering the logistics needed and as requested by various LGUs to augment their supply.

“As of now, we have strategically placed manpower in areas where there are large number of eligible populations to vaccinate. We have also sufficient supply of vaccines to carry out the vaccination service and meet the 3 million targets for the next days. Sa tulong ng ating mga lokal na pamahalaan, ay kaya nating gawin ito,” he said.

Valencia called on CALABARZON residents to avail of the free vaccines to protect themselves and their loved ones from the deadly virus.

“I encourage all residents of CALABARZON to go to your nearest vaccination site and avail of the free vaccines against Covid-19 starting tomorrow. Let us do our share in eliminating the COVID virus” he said.

By LEE ANN P. DUCUSIN & GIL AMAN
