ALIAGA, Nueva Ecija – Police here nabbed on Monday a 23-year-old woman tagged as Cabanatuan City’s number four most wanted felon.

Police Major Neilmar Retana, town police head, identified the arrested suspect as Regine Galler, of Bgy. San Felipe Matanda, this town.

Retana said the suspect’s arrest was carried out during manhunt operations conducted at 10:30 a.m. here.

The police official added that his men and members of the Cabanatuan City police, the provincial intelligence unit, and the provincial highway patrol team implemented an arrest warrant issued against him by the Regional Trial Court Branch 8-FC in Cabanatuan City last Sept. 17, 2021.

“Nang makuha namin ang warrant pinuntahan agad namin ang suspect, pero sabi ng kamag-anak nasa Manila pa daw, hindi pa umuuwi, eh nagkataon umuwi nitong Lunes kaya nasakote na namin siya,” Retana told the Journal Group.

The arrested suspect has an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, Qualified Trafficking in Person under Section 6 (A) in Relation to Sec. 3 (A) and 4(A) of Republic Act 9208 as amended by Republic Act 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012) under Criminal Case No. 33153-AF issued by RTC judge Ma. Theresa Opiana-Basilio without bail recommended.

Provincial police director Col. Jess B. Mendez commended his men for a job well done and said the Nueva Ecija police will continue to fight criminality and go after wanted felons in compliance with the directives of Police Regional Office 3 chief, Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay.
