CAAP-operated prov’l airports lauded for aiding passengers during Paeng
CIVIL Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo commended CAAP-operated provincial airports for their initiatives to provide aid and comfort to passengers during tropical storm ‘Paeng’ and in the observance of Undas 2022.
Aside from supplying stranded passengers with snacks and drinks during the onslaught of ‘Paeng,’ several airports such as in Tuguegarao, Romblon, Virac, Masbate, Camiguin, Laguindingan, Dipolog, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Davao, and Zamboanga also conducted the usual distribution of ‘Malasakit Kits’ for passengers travelling this Undas holiday.
“Despite the limitations brought by limited funding, we laud the efforts of the CAAP staff from our provincial airports because through these small tokens, they were able to provide a sense of warmth and comfort to our passengers—something that we put value in our mission to cater to passengers,” Acting Director General Tamayo shared.
The kits contain snacks, drinks, as well as sanitary items that have become handy since the pandemic.
CAAP regularly provides kits during special holidays and most especially during flight disruptions to ensure passenger convenience.
