Bulusan Volcano nagkaroon ng phreatic eruption — Phivolcs
INIHAYAG ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) ngayong Linggo ang pagkakaroon ng phreatic eruption sa Bulusan Volcano sa Sorsogon.
“This is to notify the public and concerned authorities of an ongoing phreatic eruption at Bulusan Volcano,” batay sa tweet ng Phvolcs.
Ayon sa Phivolcs, ang phreatic eruption ay “steam-driven explosions that occur when water beneath the ground or on the surface is directly heated by hot rocks or new volcanic deposits or indirectly by magma or magmatic gas.
Sinabi naman ni National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council spokesperson Mark Timbal na mayroong naiulat na insidente ng ash fall sa Brgy Cogon sa Irosin.
“Ang Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Irosin ay naghahanda ng mga evacuation centers,” pagsisiguro pa niya.
Sinabi ng NDRRMC na nakikipag-ugnayan sila sa Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Bicol hinggil sa pagputok ng bulkan.
