A 36-YEAR-OLD lady rider died after she was shot in the head with a helmet on – by two motorcycle-riding men at a dimly-lit area of Barangay Minuyan Proper, San Jose del Monte City (SJDM), Bulacan, Wednesday night.

The victim of Sitio Gulod, Road 2, of the said barangay died on the spot from two bullet wounds, according to her mother in a group chat (GC) on Facebook Messenger.

A member of the Bulacan Lady Riders Club, the victim was motoring home with a lady back rider when shot along Ipo Road near the Little Image Development Academy (LIDA) school around 9:30 p.m.

As of this writing, the city police chief Supt. Cris Cordero has yet to reply when asked about the updates on the incident.

The victim, based on the GC accounts, came from a gathering with some of her friends.

According to the back rider, two men on board another motorcycle matched their speed and, while leveling them, aimed a gun at the rider and fired two shots.

The back rider was spared of the attack, which boosted theories that the motorcycle-riding suspects were only out to get the female victim.

When asked if the victim had some serious “enemies”, family members said they knew nothing except for one instance when the victim had an argument with male personalities over a container van that was supposed to be placed in front of their lot area. “Umabot pa nga sa pagbabanta,” they said.

This writer asked the victim’s husband the same question which he replied, “Ang alam ko lng din po ung sa container ban (van).”

The family of the victim is now shouting justice for the lady rider, a mother of three – who was mercilessly shot with helmets on by two assassins.
