Brothers rob Ecija ‘paresan’ of cash, mobile phones
SAN JOSE CITY – A local beef “pares” (beef stew) joint was robbed at knifepoint and lost its earnings worth P6,300 and two mobile phones in a robbery-holdup incident on Sunday night here.
Robbed was the Emans Beef Pares stall along Maharlika Highway in Bgy. Abar 1st at 8:10 p.m.
Police head Lt. Col. Palmyra Guardaya said the alleged perpetrators were two siblings, one of whom was subsequently arrested, while the other suspect remains “at large” during follow-up operations conducted by her men following the heist.
Initial investigation showed the duo arrived at the joint, poked a knife at the duty cashier, and then declared a hold-up before forcibly taking away the sales money worth P6,300 and two mobile phones from cashier Roselyn Basiño.
Guardaya said continuous follow-up operations are still underway for the possible arrest of the other suspect.
