In the message delivered by Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rodollfo S. Azurin, Jr., he encouraged every policeman to work wholeheartedly with dedication for the peace and security “that our heroes fought for and died for”.
With this promise, Azurin said, “we will be able to fight crime, illegal drugs, corruption, and terrorism to be worthy of being called defenders and public servants of the country.”
The top cop reminded police officers to always ensure the reasonable exercise of authority based on respect for the dignity of every person, transparency, integrity, accountability, the rule of law, and democratic governance.
He emphasized that with the guidance of the peace and security framework called “MKK=K”, “Care, Well-Being, Peace to Development”, and “KASIMBAYANAN Program”, the aspiration of a safer, more peaceful, more progressive country will be fully realized and more stable and equal society “as long as we continue to stand for unity and cooperation.”
