Boy, 7, killed by speeding vehicle in Laguna
A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy was killed after he was accidentally sideswiped and hit by speeding Nissan Navara Wednesday morning along Maharlika Highway in Bgy. 2 Poblacion, Alaminos, Laguna.
Alaminos Police chief , PCapt. Edwin Goyena identified the victim as Andrew Estrada, of Bgy. 2 Poblacion.
The victim died on the spot and was found was under the Nissan Navarra FA 1629 .
The driver was identified as a certain Jonathan Navarro, 24, online seller and resident of 250 Purok Laguerta, Calamba City, Laguna. He is now under the custody of Alaminos police station and is facing reckless imprudence resulting to homicide.
Investigation showed the accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. along Maharlika Highway.
Initial investigation revealed the vehicle was traversing Maharlika Highway and heading towards to Sto. Tomas Batangas when it hit the victim who was walking along the side of the road.
