Boy, 15, among 3 killed in MC-truck smashup
THREE people on Saturday were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a truck during heavy downpour in Tanauan City, Batangas.
Tanauan City Police Station chief Lt. Col Ariel Azurin identified the fatalities as Jayson Hilarion, the driver of the motorcycle, and his riders Christian Jay Mabalay, 18, and Lovely Bacus, 15, of Poblacion 3, all in Tanauan City.
Hilarion was driving without a driver’s license when they met their tragic death.
SSg. Tommy Piscoso, Cpl. Jhune Carlo Coballes and Cpl. Leo Arnie Leycano said the victims were traveling on a Yamaha Mio motorcycle upon reaching J. P. Laurel National Highway, Bgy.
Darasa, Tanauan City, they crashed into an Isuzu Wing truck driven by Jan Rey David at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The victims sustained severe head and body injuries and were declared dead upon arrival at the Laurel Memorial District Hospital.
