A 12-YEAR-OLD boy who was reportedly good at playing basketball was stabbed 18 times and his body dumped in a river in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The victim was resident of Ligas 2, Bacoor City. He died on the spot due to multiple stab wounds.
His companion, whose name was withheld for fear for his life, was also stabbed in the neck and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The companion identified the suspects as Steven Tyson and Alexander Rivera.
“Kakakuha lang po ng pagkain ng anak ko. Nabalitaan ko pinatay na s’ya. Itinapon pa sa ilog,” the victim’s mother, told the police.
An investigation showed the suspects approached the victims and allegedly stabbed the 12-year-old repeatedly.
Rivera then stabbed the fatality’s companion in the neck.
Although oozing with blood, the companion was able to run for his life.
The suspects allegedly threw the victim’s body into the river then fleeing.
An investigation showed the suspects held a grudge against the 12-year-old for being a good basketball player.
