Bòssing keep playoff hopes alive

BLACKWATER is still alive — and kicking.
Blackwater held off Phoenix Super LPG, 100-92, to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
And the Bossing did it even without import George King.
The duo of Justine Chua and Christian David stepped as they combined for 42 points to lead the Bossing of coach Jeff Cariaso.
Chua finished with 22 points, shooting 9-of-21 and 11 rebounds in almost 42 minutes of action while David tallied 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Jvee Casio and Mike Ayonayon added 14 and 11 points, respectively.
King missed the game reportedly due to a foot injury he sustained in their loss to Converge the last time out.
The win enabled the Bossing to move up to 3-8 — the same record of the Fuel Masters.
A victory by Blackwater over NorthPort Batang Pier on Saturday will give them four wins.
Import Donovan Smith led the Fuel Masters’ losing effort with 32 points on 12-of-26 shooting. He added nine rebounds and five assists in 41 minutes of play for coach Jamike Jarin.
Jason Perkins added 19 points and six rebounds while RJ Jazul contributed 12 points.
The loss was a big blow for the Fuel Masters, who are also looking for their fourth win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
