‘Boses ng Bayan’ Senate 2025 survey — RPMD
THE RPMD Foundation Inc., as part of its “Boses ng Bayan” initiative, has released the findings of its independent, non-commissioned survey on ‘senatorial preferences’ for the upcoming 2025 elections. Conducted from December 20 to 28, 2024, the survey gathered responses from 3,500 participants across the Philippines, who were asked to name up to 12 candidates they would most likely support for the Senate if the election were held at present. This initiative serves as a key component of RPMD’s public service efforts to provide an accurate reflection of voter sentiment.
Sen. Bong Revilla Jr. (53%) and Rep. Erwin Tulfo (52%) were statistically tied at the top, followed by Sen. Bong Go (50%) and former Sen. Tito Sotto (49%) in third to fourth place. Former Sen. Manny Pacquiao ranked fifth with 46%, broadcaster Ben Tulfo sixth with 43%, while Sen. Pia Cayetano (40%) and former DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos Jr. (39%) shared seventh-eighth spots. Sen. Francis Tolentino (36%) ranked ninth, and Cong. Camille Villar (33%) placed tenth.
Sen. Imee Marcos (30%), former Sen. Ping Lacson (29%), and Sen. Lito Lapid (28%) shared 11th-13th places, while celebrity host Willie Revillame ranked 14th with 25%. Sen. Bato dela Rosa (22%) and Abby Binay (20%) tied for 15th-16th. Former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, former Gov. Chavit Singson, and former Sen. Bam Aquino, with 17%, 17%, and 16%, respectively, occupied 17th-19th spots, followed by Rep. Wilbert Lee in 20th with 13%.
Doc Willie Ong (9%) and former Sen. Gringo Honasan (8%) tied for 21st-22nd, followed by Cong. Bonifacio Bosita (6%), Cong. Dante Marcoleta (5%), and actor Philip Salvador (4%) in 23rd-25th. Sharing 26th-30th with 2% each were Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Cong. France Castro, Ariel Querubin, Heidi Mendoza, and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. The 31st-40th spots (1% each) included Jimmy Bondoc, Teddy Casiño, Raul Lambino, Norberto Gonzales, Leody De Guzman, Arlene Brosas, Liza Maza, Eric Martinez, Danilo Ramos, and Ernesto Arellano.
Dr. Paul Martinez, Global Affairs Analyst and RPMD Executive Director, emphasized the survey’s importance in capturing the authentic sentiments of Filipino voters nationwide. With a ±2% margin of error and 95% confidence level, he described the “Boses ng Bayan” Senatorial Preferences survey as a valuable tool for understanding the electorate’s evolving priorities ahead of the 2025 elections, highlighting the dynamic mix of seasoned politicians, public figures, and emerging leaders vying for the public’s trust.
