House Majority Leader and Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin G. Romualdez and British Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines Laure Beaufils discuss improving Philippine-UK relations at the latter’s residence in Makati City. During his visit Thursday, Romualdez presented an appreciation plaque to Beaufils who expressed her gratitude by giving the House leader a tea collection. The two tackled boosting PH-UK academic excellence and economic cooperation with emphasis on UK’s strength as a financial partner, partnership in mitigating the impact of climate change, and promoting clean energy.
