FORMER SEN. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos on Sunday said he is open to run for president for the 2022 presidential elections or to be the vice presidential candidate of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterteshould the latter decide to seek the country’s highest office.
Interviewed by veteran television and radio host Anthony Taberna on Tapatan ni Tunying over YouTube, Marcos said he is prepared to run for whatever position in the May 2022 presidential polls, including the presidency.
“I have been ready for a long time already, yes I am ready,” Marcos said when Taberna asked him if he would run for president.
During the early part of the interview, Marcos said he has yet to make his final decision on whatever position he will run for next year’s presidential elections.
“I am running for something in May of 2022. Right now, tinitingnan pa rin natin although malapit na tayo sa filing,” Marcos said.
Baka magdesisyon tayo or mag-announce at biglang may nangyari na naging mali ang desisyon mo, kailangang mag-ingat,” he said.
Asked about the possible Bongbong- Sara tandem, Marcos said “lahat ng sinasabi mo puwede.
Sought his comment on possible Sara-Bongbong partnership, Marcos said he is open to discuss the matter with the end goal of ensuring people’s interest.
“Kung may proposal na ganyan, pag-usapan natin. Lahat iyan puwedeng pag-usapan. Titingnan natin kung ano ang pinakamaganda para sa ating lahat, that’s the idea behind all of these,” Marcos explained.
