SINCE 1974, White Castle Whiskey, the most popular brand among the product line of Limtuaco Destileria, Inc. (named after its founder Lim Tua Co (Bonifacio Limtuaco) in 1851, the local brand’s annual calendar and brand ambassador has been associated with beautiful, sexy and gorgeous women clad in red bikini posing beside the iconic white horse with a white castle as backdrop.

In the 1970s, wala pa noong social media kaya ang marketing campaign para para sa iba’t ibang major products including White Castle Whiskey ay sa pamamagitan ng radio, print, television and billboards.

Tumatak sa isipan at kultura ng mga Filipino ang yearly calendar ng White Castle Whiskey na tampok ang mga naggagandahan, sexy at popular actresses tulad ng award-winning actress na si Lorna Tolentino, ang actress-comedienne na si Carmi Martin, Tetchie Agbayani, 1982 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, actress and visual artist Maria Isabel Lopez; singer, actress, entrepreneur and beauty queen Cristina `King-Kring’ Gonzales, award-winning actress Glydel Mercado and others like Roxanne Guinoo, RR Enriquez, Aubrey Miles, Meg Imperial, among others.

After the pandemic in 2021, unti-unting binago ng Limtuaco Destileria ang kanilang traditional promo campaign for their premium product, ang White Castle Whiskey by using for the first time a male brand ambassador, YouTube content creator chef Ninong Ry and it worked. The following year in 2022, ang TikTok sensation na si Sassa Gurl naman ang kanilang kinuha and it was also effective.

Ngayong 2023, muling ginulat ng Limtuaco Destileria ang publiko when they officially announced and launched While Castle Whiskey’s new brand ambassador, ang brainy, pretty, confident, entrepreneur and sexy (in her own right) and actress, Ria Atayde.

Ria was introduced to the entertainment media as the brand’s new ambassador last Tuesday at Pandan Asian Café in Quezon City. The actress represents body positivity sa gitna ng body shaming on social media.

She thanked everyone – the management of Destileria Limtuaco for choosing and trusting her to be the While Castle Whiskey’s new brand ambassador and Calendar Girl 2023, her family including her boyfriend actor Zanjoe Marudo for their unconditional love and support at sa lahat ng mga taong naniniwala sa kanya. Tanggap niyang hindi ang uri ng kaseksihan na taglay niya ang dating nagri-represent sa White Castle na “slim sexy.” Sabi nga niya, body positivity ang niri-represent niya ngayon.

Sa pagdaan ng mga taon, si Ria ay magiging bahagi na ng kasaysayan ng century-old Destileria Limtuaco (the oldest distillery in the country) at ng White Castle Whiskey marketing campaign.

And as a mother, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez is more than proud na ang kanyang second daughter ang napili at pinagkatiwalaan ng kumpanyang pinamumunuan ng president-CEO ng kumpanya na si Olivia Limpe-Aw.

Relasyon nina Ria at Zanjoe tanggap na

SAMANTALA, bukas na sa publiko ang relasyon ni Ria sa actor na si Zanjoe Marudo na unang napansin ng netizens sa madalas na pagsasama ng dalawa sa maraming lakaran ng kanilang barkada na kinabibilangan ng magkasintahang Daniel Padilla at Kathryn Bernardo, Joshua Garcia, Robi Domingo and his fianceé na si Maiqui Pineda, among others maging sa biyahe sa ibang bansa including Japan kung saan sila nag-celebrate ng Halloween.

FORMER Senate President and public servant, veteran singer, actor-comedian, TV host, songwriter and record producer Vicente `Tito’ Sotto is returning to his original passion – music by putting up his own recording studio na pinangalanan niyang VST Studio.

Bago pinasok ni Tito Sen (palayaw ng marami sa dating senador) ang pulitika ay isa na itong seasoned singer, musician, songwriter and record executive and producer. He was behind Tilt Down Men, a popular band in the `60s. Tito co-founded the popular `70s band, VST & Company along with youngest brother Vic Sotto and another music veteran Spanky Rigor thus calling their group VST & Co. na siyang nagpasikat noon ng mga classic disco hits tulad ng “Taya’y Magsayawan,” “Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko” including ballads tulad ng “Ipagpatawad Mo,” “Ikaw ang Aking Mahal” at iba pa.

Pero nang lumabas ang VST & Company sa telebisyon and live gigs ay ibang members na ang lumantad with only Spanky as the original member dahil pareho nang busy noon sina Tito at Vic sa kanilang respective solo careers and as part of Tito, Vic and & Joey with another music veteran na si Joey de Leon.

Naging vice-president for A&R (Artist & Repertoire) din noon ng Vicor Music Corporation na dating pag-aari pa ng magpinsang Vic del Rosario at Orly Ilacad.

Tito Sen is behind megastar Sharon Cuneta and Pops Fernandez’ entry sa music and entertainment business.

Sharon was only 12 years old nang siya’y magsimula ng kanyang music career first with Vicor then at Viva.

Si Pops naman ay 15 years old noon at estudyante ng International School nang maging recording artist ng OctoArts International, ang kumpanyang itinatag ni Orly Ilacad matapos silang maghiwalay ng pinsan niyang si Vic del Rosario, Jr. ng Vicor Music Corporation. Vicor stands for Vic and Orly which the cousins put up in the `60s with P3,000 running capital.

It was also during the time of Tito Sen at Vicor nang kanyang kunin ang serbisyo ng singer at songwriter na si Rey Valera to compose songs for his niece na si Sharon at ditto nabuo ang awiting “Mr. DJ” which made Sharon an instant star na sinundan pa ng marami pang hits composed by Rey na recording artist na rin noon ng Vicor matapos siyang ma-discover ng younger brother ni Boss Orly na si Chito Ilacad na naging mister naman ng yumaong singer and hitmaket na siYolly Samson na nagpasikat naman ng awiting “Bato sa Buhangin” at iba pa.

Ngayong nagtayo na si Tito Sen ng sarili niyang recording studio, nangangahulugan lamang na handa na niyang balikan ang kanyang first love – musika na nagging daan para makilala niya ang kanyang wife of 53 years, ang veteran singer-actress at dating star of the `60s and `70s na si Helen Gamboa.
