BoC-NAIA cites top importers

THE Bureau of Customs Port of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) as part of its thanksgiving for its successful achievements for year 2021 recognized its top importers for 2021 and 1st quarter 2022 as their partners Friday, April 08, 2022.

The event was held at BOC-NAIA conference room where the Port’s top 20 importers were recognized for their contribution to the revenue collection of the government .

Overall, Samsung Electronics Philippines was recognized as BOC-NAIA’s top importer for 2021 as well as for the 1st quarter of 2022 with an estimated total of Php 3.9 Billion in duties and taxes paid. Globe Telecom Inc was the second highest, third was Louis Vuitton (Philippines) Inc.

In her statement BOC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan thanked the stakeholders for their support and contribution in revenue collection. Collector Talusan recognized the strong partnership between BOC-NAIA and Importers which led to the Port surpassing its annual collection target for 2021 and again for its March target registering a surplus collection of Php 799.211 Million.

As the economy continues to strengthen in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, BOC-NAIA remains committed in facilitating trade and collecting lawful revenues under the guidance of BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.
