Bistek ranks 10th in latest Laylo survey
RESULTS of another survey of voter preference in the senatorial race confirmed UniTeam senatorial candidate Herbert “Bistek” Bautista’s hold on the so-called “Magic 12”, or candidates with high chances of winning.
According to the latest survey by pollster Laylo Research Strategies which polled 3,000 likely voters from April 14 to 20, Bautista is firmly on track to win the senatorial race.
The Laylo survey results showed that Bautista ranked 10th to 13th among candidates with statistical chances of becoming senators.
“Again, I thank my supporters for sustaining their belief in my capacity and my dreams for our country,” said Bautista, referring to the Laylo survey results.
Bautista broke into the winning circle weeks ago, but a recent polling firm Publicus Asia survey showed him moving up to rank 10th in the Magic 12.
The Publicus Asia survey was conducted from April 19 to 21, or around two weeks before the elections on May 9 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2%.
Bautista’s rise in the ranking was consistent with previous surveys, two from Pulse Asia and an earlier one by Publicus showing the senatorial hopeful staying strong in the top 12 choices for senator.
Bautista urged his supporters to step up efforts to convert his strong ranking in surveys into votes as the elections draw nearer.
“The real survey would be on election day [May 9],” said Bautista, who is running on a platform of “Internet reform, Livelihood for all and Youth development” (ILY) and “Pagkain para sa Pamilyang Pilipino”.
