BILLY Crawford started with GMA-7 as a child star, a member of Kuya Germs’ “That’s Entertainment”, singing and dancing when he was only 5 years old. He was so cute and talented he also got into acting and his performance in “Lovingly Yours” got rave reviews. He was also memorable as the son of Vilma Santos in the acclaimed “Pahiram ng Isang Umaga” in 1989.

At 12, he left for the USA and later cultivated a career in Europe, becoming a big star in France. He returned to Manila in 2007 and hosted a dance reality show, “Move: The Search for Billy Crawford’s Pinoy Dancers”. But he later moved to be a Kapamilya as part of “ASAP” and host of shows like ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ and later, “It’s Showtime”. In 2020, he moved to TV5 to host “Masked Singer” and “Lunch Out Loud”.

Now, he is back as a Kapuso, hosting the hit game show “The Wall” which started with TV-5. The program is now a co-production between GMA Network and Viva Entertainment.

“The Wall Philippines” is a pachinko game with a twist. It offers players the opportunity to win a life-changing prize worth millions of pesos. Part knowledge and part luck, the program delivers a roller coaster of emotions as the contestants may be ahead with a huge amount of banked money in one instance and may lose it all in the next.

The game’s main goal is to bank as much money as possible by answering trivia questions and landing the balls on high-value bins. The mechanics are simple – get a correct answer to get a green ball, miss a question and get a red ball. Green adds, red subtracts.

“The Wall Philippines” is an exciting game show format created by LeBron James, Maverick Carter, and Andrew Glassman and is distributed by Banijay Rights Limited.

“It’s nice to be back as a Kapuso,” says Billy, who attended the GMA Thanksgiving Ball last Saturday night at Shangrila BGC with his wife Coleen Garcia. “This is where my career started as a child star and I really feel at home doing ‘The Wall’ with GMA.”

Catch “The Wall Philippines” this August on GMA-7.
