KAWAYAN, Biliran – TWO mayors of Biliran province have expressed their gratitude to The Tingog Party-list group for donating 24 brand new wheelchairs to boost the morale of people with physical impairment, especially the elderly sector.
Kawayan Mayor Rodolfo Espina, Sr. and Biliran Mayor Grace Casil thanked the Tingog Party-list led by Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez who chairs the House Committee on the Welfare of Children, actress-singer Karla “Mamshie” Estrada, and Jude Avorque Acidre for playing the important role of extending assistance to the people.
Estrada, proud mother of actor and recording artist Daniel Padilla who personally turned over the wheelchairs to the beneficiaries, assured that Tingog will always be at the frontline of delivering public service to those in need of help.
Espina said the 15 wheelchairs that Tingog Party-list distributed to his town brought happiness to the beneficiaries and their families.
For her part, Casil recalled that Tingog Party-list has been active in making its presence felt to Biliran through its compassionate and important projects, including the P20-million road project leading to province’s capital and Naval town and two basketball courts.
Tingog gave nine wheelchairs to Casil’s constituents.
Estrada also paid a courtesy visit on Biliran Gov. Rogelio Espina.
