Biden honors Pinoys contributions to US
CNN Philippines — United States President Joe Biden on Saturday honored the “invaluable contributions” of over four million Filipinos and Filipino Americans to the US, as the two countries celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations, and the 70th anniversary of the US-PH alliance on June 12.
Biden also sought to maintain the good relations between the Philippines and the US, and together overcome global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As we honor this joyful occasion of independence and friendship, let’s also look at the future, at the challenges our two countries must continue to work to take on together – from defeating this pandemic and strengthening the global preparedness for the next one, to advancing free and open Indo-Pacific region for all peoples,” Biden said in his 123rd Philippine Independence Day message.
“I hope the friendship between the Philippines and the United States will continue to be a source of strength for both our nations through all the decades ahead,” he added.

“Our people are forever connected through our deep bonds and shared sacrifices of valor, of family, and of friendship,” Biden said.
