Bianca doesn’t hide relationship with Ruru anymore
BIANCA Umali celebrated her 22nd birthday on March 2 and her social media accounts were flooded with warm greetings from her fans and co-stars who wish her all the best as she turned another milestone.
Of course, the best greeting came from her unconfirmed boyfriend, Ruru Madrid, who calls her his moon while he is her sun. Earlier, there were reports that they’ve called it quits but, apparently, this is simply not true, as evidenced by their latest Instagram photos showing them together as Bianca celebrates her birthday and wishing her with “the sweetest of birthdays”.
Obviously, they heeded the advice of well meaning friends and of GMA to lie low about the real score in their relationship since they’re not being pushed as a love team. They currently have separated teleseryes that they’re taping now. Ruru is busy with his action-adventure fantasy series, “Lolong”.
Bianca, in turn, topbills the new “Mano Po Legacy” Series titled “Her Big Boss”, which replaces “The Family Fortune” with Barbie Forteza that ended recently. A co-production between GMA-7 and Regal Entertainment, Bianca will have new leading men in her teleserye, Ken Chan and Kelvin Miranda.
Bianca is part of the new GMA Artist Center talent management company, Sparkle. How does it feel that she’s chosen to be part of the eight Kapuso artists who will be given an extra push in their careers this year?
“It’s so nice to be part of this select group as Sparkle will help us fulfill our dreams,” she says. “Walang katapusang pasasalamat sa GMA at sa Sparkle as I’m now really so excited to show the world my own sparkle.”
How does one keep her sparkle? “To keep my sparkle, I’m always aware of the need to keep improving myself, to be the best version of who I can be. Andami ko pang gustong gawin and I am very passionate about my craft as an actress. I love what I do and I know Sparkle will help me. Gagabayan nila ako to reach my goals.”
Aside from “Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss”, she will also soon be seen in the HBO series, “Half Worlds”, directed by Mikhail Red. She will play the role of Alex, a young girl who is half-human and half-encanto. She will be tasked to find the original source of a rare plant that will heal the Encantos and eradicate their thirst for human flesh.
