Bgy vehicle turns turtle; one dead, 4 hurt
ALFONSO, Cavite – A “speeding” barangay patrol vehicle and trying to overtake a car in front, crashed into an electric pole, killing one and injuring four others Tuesday, January 31, 2023, while traversing along Barangay Mangas 2 here.
The 54-year-old fatality was one of the passengers of the barangay patrol vehicle.
The driver of the said barangay vehicle, a village councilor, was one of the injured.
According to investigators, at around 7 a.m., the victims onboard a Foton Gratour barangay patrol vehicle were crossing the road along Bgy. Mangas.
Allegedly, it was running at high speed and attempting to overtake a vehicle in front of it but lost control and overturned several times before hitting a Meralco electric post.
Some of the passengers were stuck and thrown and were immediately but one victim was declared dead on arrival.
