
Be vigilant, cautious, Pinoys in Gaza Strip told
FILIPINOS in the Gaza Strip were advised to stay vigilant and cautious following Israeli Defense Forces and Qassam Brigades’ massive airstrikes that have so far killed over 200 people.
The Philippine Embassy in Jordan also reminded Filipinos in the area to remain in their homes, avoid public places and continue to monitor the security situation through official communication channels.
In an advisory, the Embassy said “the safety and security of every Filipino overseas remain the priority of the Philippine government.”
The Philippine Embassy is continuously monitoring the situation, the Philippine Embassy in Jordan said.
It stressed “as of the time of this announcement, there is no report of Filipinos hurt or killed in the conflict.” There are 137 Filipinos in Gaza.
At least 232 people have been killed and more than 1000 were wounded in Gaza after Israel launched retaliatory attacks against Hamas forces.
An unknown number of Israeli soldiers and civilians were also seized and taken into Gaza.
The Palestinian militant group launched a land, air and sea attack in Israel, infiltrating the southern border and firing a massive barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip.
