BDO Foundation relief goods arrive in typhoon Paeng-hit provinces
In response to the devastation of Typhoon Paeng, BDO Foundation immediately mounted relief operations for the benefit of thousands of Filipinos affected by the disaster. The corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank mobilized volunteers from partner parishes and social welfare offices of local governments for the distribution of relief packs containing food, rice and drinking water in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Cotabato, Maguindanao and Zamboanga. A total of 16,500 families displaced by flashfloods and landslides benefited from the initiative. Made possible with the support of officers of BDO and BDO Network Bank branches, the relief operations were the latest conducted by BDO Foundation in line with its disaster response advocacy. The foundation also provided relief goods to beneficiaries affected by Typhoons Karding and Neneng as well as the earthquakes in Abra and Ilocos Sur.
