Bilaran Gov. Roger Espina:

NAVAL, Biliran – With the two flag bearers of the UniTeam holding on to their biggest margins over their rivals just a month away from the presidential elections, Biliran Governor Roger Espina introduced presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM) before a huge crowd, mostly from the youth sector in his province as the country’s next president.

Espina announced Marcos, who is running alongside Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as the Philippines’ incoming leader during a mammoth rally in Naval on Friday.

“Bigyan ng napakainit na pagsalubong at pagtanggap ang ating pinakamamahal at maabot na Pangulo ng Republika ng Pilipinas, walang iba kung hindi si Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.,” Espina told the huge crowd that broke into a booming sound of cheers.

Marcos was accompanied here and in the first three UniTeam rallies Friday in Catarman, Borongan City, and Catbalogan City by Sen. Ronaldo “Bato” Dela Rosa and House Majority Leader and Lakas-CMD President Martin G. Romualdez.

In Biliran, dela Rosa asked the electorate to vote for Marcos and Duterte, stressing the Davao City Mayor will be a cooperative and real partner of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer in bringing the country to economic recovery and addressing other problems.

“Mayor Inday Sara will be a partner of President Marcos in fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. She will be a very supportive vice president,” dela Rosa, who represented Duterte in UniTeam’s Eastern Visayas campaign sorties, assured.

Gerardo “Gerryboy” Espina, Jr. said in introducing Duterte before giving dela Rosa the opportunity to speak.

For his part, Marcos told the voters of Biliran to continue uniting and not loosen their actions until UniTeam candidates are elected.

Marcos promised that he and Duterte will improve the lives of all Filipinos.

“Sinimulan natin ang pagkilos ng pagkakaisa dito sa Biliran, huwag po natin titigilan, huwag po natin iiwan hanggang tayo ay makapagsabi na dumating na ang araw na ipinagkaisa natin ang sambayanang Pilipino,” Marcos said as he thanked the Espinas and the people here for the very warm welcome given to UniTeam candidates.

The presidential candidate said the same seal and effort of unity, of working together should make the country prevail and get past its challenges, especially during calamities and disasters.

The candidate encouraged the crowd during the rally to continue their sacrifices in uniting the Filipinos, not only for the victory in the upcoming elections, but for the sake of the country.
