MAASIN City, Southern Leyte – THE UniTeam Alliance led by former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte braved the rains in their commitment to intensify its Humanitarian and Relief Mission to provinces badly hit by Super Typhoon Odette weeks ago, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) President Martin G. Romualdez said as the team returned to Southern Leyte and Siargao Island on Wednesday morning and visited Dumaguete City in the afternoon.

Romualdez, House Majority Leader and Leyte’s 1st district representative, said the BBM-Sara tandem has been doubling efforts to help the typhoon victims, most of whom were left with nothing following Odette’s onslaught.

“More aid will be given to Southern Leyte and Siargao,” said Romualdez, representative of Leyte’s 1st District. “We will be relentless in helping our people just as they have been hopeful and strong amidst these difficult times.”

The House Majority Leader said the UniTeam, together with Lakas-CMD, will also help the affected areas expedite the rehabilitation of their homes and communities.

“Rest assured that we will extend assistance not only in relief operations, but also in the more important task of rehabilitation. I have seen the damages wrought by Typhoon Odette, and I know that the national government needs to lend a helping hand to get you back on your feet,” Romualdez, caretaker of Southern Leyte said.
