Tangere survey confirms:

INDEPENDENT pollster Tangere has bared that UniTeam presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte have maintained a strong lead as the official national campaign draws near starting February 8, 2022.

Marcos, standard-bearer of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), received a commanding 57.67% support from the respondents for the presidential post while Duterte, vice presidential aspirant of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD), is the top choice for such position of 53.17% of the respondents.

Tangere’s mobile app nationwide non-commissioned survey of 2,400 respondents with a margin of error of plus or minus three percent was held from January 18 to 19, 2022.

The respondents were asked, “Kung ngayon gaganapin ang eleksiyon, sino sa mga sumusunod ang iboboto mong pangulo?”

The respondents were also asked the same question regarding the vice presidential candidates.

The survey that was released on January 20 showed that Marcos-Duterte is the winning tandem in the presidential elections.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was in far second with 16.75%. He overtook Vice President Leni Robredo who was close behind with 15.08%.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson took the fourth spot with 4.71% of the respondents while 4.29% said they would vote for Sen. Manny Pacquiao.

Regarding the vice presidential race, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III came second with 19.42% followed by 17.54% choosing Dr. Willie Ong and 5.96% voting for Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

According to Tangere, three out of five Marcos’ supporters will not change their votes compared to only 50% of Robredo’s supporters who will stick with her, while one of three supporters of Moreno said they will not change their minds.

Tangere added that 83% of Duterte’s supporters chose Marcos for their President, driven by combined respondents from Northern and Central Luzon with 86% and Mindanao with 83%.

The pollster also said that 63% of Duterte’s supporters will not change their votes compared to Sotto’s two out of five supporters who will not change their minds and one out of two supporters who will stick with Ong.

It also said that three out of four Marcos’ supporters selected Duterte as their first choice for vice president.
